Online Healthy Helpings

Welcome to the Online Healthy Helpings Programme

The online Healthy Helpings programme has been designed to run over 12 weeks – one session each week.

You shouldn’t follow this programme if you’re under 18 years of age, pregnant or in a healthy weight range.

If you have been diagnosed with an eating disorder, or if you think you might have one, please speak to your GP or your Health Care team to decide if this is appropriate for you. 

If you have diabetes which is controlled by diet alone, or diet and tablets, we recommend that you complete the Diabetes Session before starting the main programme.

We recommend you work through the sessions in the order they’re set out. Some people might prefer to work through the programme on their own. Other people  might find it helpful to work through the programme with friends/ family for extra support.

For each of the 12 sessions (links above) you’ll find:

1. A Short Film (around 30 minutes) – these films chat through different aspects of healthy eating and healthy lifestyle. They also look at ways to help change habits and behaviours, and chat through some psychological aspects regarding what and how we eat

2. Healthy Helpings Information – this information has been developed specifically to support the Healthy Helpings programme. It includes a weekly Activity Book which will remind you about important points from the session, and will give some activities to work through before the next session.

The activity books are provided in an editable PDF format that you should be able to save on your own device (smartphone, PC, Mac Computer or tablet).
