Mental Health Help and Information

In the sections below you will find a range of resources which you may find useful - these include reading materials, film clips and some practical resources. They do not in any way take the place of being seen a by a health professional but may be useful for you whilst you are waiting to be seen,  or as a first step in seeking help and support with a difficulty.

If you feel that you require urgent help

  • Talk to the Samaritans ( see information to the right)
  • Talk to your doctor (GP)
  • Go to your local Accident and Emergency (A&E) department

The Samaritans helpline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for people who want to talk in confidence. Call 116 123 (free).
