Cravings

Where is this urge to eat coming from? My head or my stomach? A craving is different to physical hunger as it is a desire that builds and then becomes less intense.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • What am I craving?
  • What was happening just before I began to feel the craving?
  • What results can I expect if I give in to this craving?
  • How will I feel?
  • Could I do something else instead?

The fastest way to get rid of the craving is to indulge in it, but it is possible to wait it out and do something more interesting to take our mind of it. This might mean we forget about the craving.
