Mindfulness

Notice the everyday

It can be easy to rush through life at times without noticing much. Mindfulness is about paying attention to the present moment. Paying more attention to our own thoughts and feelings and to the world around us can help improve mental wellbeing.

We often go about our lives without being present moment by moment.  We call this being on autopilot. We can learn to pay direct attention to things , for example as we go about our daily lives, we can notice the sensations of things, the food we eat, the air moving past the body as we walk.  Paying attention with all of our senses can have the power to interrupt the 'autopilot' mode we often engage day to day, and to give us new perspectives on life.
